We had a lovely break, the villa and surrounding countryside are beautiful - Lee H., Faversham, Kent, UK. September 2017
We normally like to stay somewhere new every holiday (the world is a big place!) But when we saw Casa Del Monte was free for one of the weeks of our holiday, we had to return. We were not disappointed. The villa is just as divine as we remembered. The inside is luxurious with an overwhelming feeling of space, thanks to the high ceilings and huge lounge and landing while the outside is beautifully landscaped with amazing views from both the pool and eating areas. Thanks for a relaxing and luxurious holiday! - Matt P., Thame, Oxfordshire, UK. August 2017
We’ve just returned to a rainy Belfast after a glorious two weeks at Casa del Monte, in the beautiful Jalon Valley. Everything about this property met our needs and expectations. Fantastic views across the valley and over the mountains. Peace, quiet and tranquillity to make our stay as relaxing as we had hoped for. The pool was divine – and we spent a lot of time there during the two weeks! The accommodation inside was perfect. A two bedroom villa for our family of four, but the interior was airy and spacious, and deceptively roomy given the high ceilings in the living area. The location was perfect for us too. We stayed locally a lot, eating in the restaurants in nearby Jalon which were very reasonable. The service and food were excellent, as was the local vino tinto! And when we wanted to travel further, to places like Denia, it was an easy journey. We stayed in late July/early August, during Jalon’s Fiesta, and the kids are still talking about the Bulls in the Square! All in all, a thoroughly fantastic holiday! - Kevin and Jeannine Kelly, Belfast, August 2017.
Our sojourn in Casa del Monte was a delight. The villa is situated so that the landscape comes really into the house with magnificent vistas of the Jalon valley. The villa is spacious and well appointed. We did use the pool but the bracing effect cut down on the time we were in the water (we stayed early/mid May). Whenever a problem arose (minor ones) remedial action was prompt and effective. Shopping in Benissa was recommended and turned out to be superior to the alternatives. The clean air one breathes at that location is remarkably pure. We can warmly recommend Casa del Monte to people who love the quiet of the countryside - Joe R., Guildford, Surrey. UK. May 2017
We stayed at this beautiful villa for 9 nights in May 2017. The villa is immaculately presented and an incredible place to stay for a very restful holiday. The pool is as amazing as the views from it! There are a couple of towns locally which offer everything you need, the beautiful church in Lliber really is special. It's set in the Jalon Valley which is a breathtaking area mainly devoted to wine making with vineyards everywhere. The local bodegas offer very palatable wines for sale at unbelievably low prices. We will certainly stay again at Casa Del Monte as we've never stayed anywhere so beautiful, surrounded by pine forests and completely relaxing with just the sound of birds to enhance the peacefulness. The villa was cool, as was the naya surrounding it, a perfect escape from the gloriously hot sunshine. We cannot say enough good things about this place, it's a dream! - Daniel F., Stafford, UK. May 2017
Another good holiday at Casa Del Monte, we feel at home so much there. Thanks again for the arrangements - Alistair S., Trowell, Notts. September 2016
Casa Del Monte and the Jalon Valley are perfect if you are looking for peace, quiet and relaxation. A real get away from it all place. The countryside is beautiful and the villa was very comfortable. Spent a most enjoyable week there and hope to return very soon - Elaine H., Edinburgh. May 2016
We had a lovely stay at Casa Del Monte in October. The house is very spacious and it is spotlessly clean with quality crockery, furnishings etc. The outdoor space is excellent as there is plenty of space for sunbathing but also plenty of shady spots too. And it was great to have such a good sized pool - good for a proper swim. The views from the villa are just spectacular and although there are other houses around, it feels very private with lots of trees around. We spent each night of our stay watching the sun go down over the hills and planning our return visit - Corinne and David M., Fife, Scotland. October 2012.
The villa is simply amazing - far enough into the mountains to have perfect views and seclusion, yet near enough to drive to the bakery in the mornings. The villa itself is very well presented and to a high standard with everything we needed for a very relaxing week. We will definitely stay again, either here or once again at one of Find The Real Spain’s villas - John I., Knaphill, Surrey. September 2012.
This property is truly amazing. It has been thoughtfully decorated and looked after. The villa is in a brilliant position, with views down the valley towards Jalon. We watched the fiesta fireworks from the naya. The pool area and patio, covered naya are the best parts about the villa, comfortable loungers and chairs. The only thing that would enhance this property is a gas BBQ. It is our opinion an essential item when on holiday, we like to cook late in the evening and eat outside. I would highly recommend this property and we would visit again. AAAAAAAAAA+++ - Lynne M., Ely, Cambridgeshire. August 2012.
A beautiful, well-maintained and well-equipped villa in a fabulous location with exquisite mountain views. There is lots of shade and the pool is wonderful. We had a fantastic and relaxing holiday. It was very hot, and we spent the vast majority of our time at the villa. The drive up to the villa takes some getting used to - we lived in fear of meeting something coming the other way, but the fact is that it's actually a very quiet road. Other than that, the property smells a bit "fusty", particularly in the cupboards upstairs which could do with airing a little more, and we were expecting proper ceiling fans in the bedrooms rather than basic plug-in ones. But these are minor points - it was a great holiday and one that we would recommend. Just do remember to buy tablets for the mosquito machines - the pesky blighters will get you otherwise... - The Kelly family, Macclesfield, Cheshire. August 2012.
Stunning villa with equally stunning views! - Paul H., Derby. July 2012.
If it's a relaxing and 'chilled out' holiday you're after you couldn't really wish for a better property than Casa del Monte. Quiet and private and with excellent views. Breakfast on the porch, a bit of sunbathing and then back in under the porch for a cold drink when it gets too hot. You can also go for a long (30-40 min) walk by completing the 'circuit' that goes past the property, out on the main road and back from the other direction. Though walk early! It gets very hot early in the day. The only drawback being the absence of air-conditioning, which may cause some discomfort to some during a hot summer night, though there are fans in each room. Also, it could benefit with an internet connection, although some would argue that the lack of access to the net is part of being on holiday!
Plenty of good restaurants in the area and, if being by the coast is your thing, I would recommend Moraira rather than Calpe, which does have a feel of Benidorm - but on a smaller scale. We did, however, have a couple of good cheap meals in Calpe. Transport is a must as Jalon, the nearest 'large' town, is a few minutes away in a car. A visit to the Monday market at Denia is great fun - and to go there, take the back roads (the scenic route) rather than the motorway - Ola G., Jersey, Channel Islands. June 2012.
Had a wonderful holiday with my girlfriend, sunshine all week except 10 minutes of rain on the day we arrived (quite a change from rainy Scotland!). Amazing views and the perfect place to propose, and we are now happily engaged. Area was beautiful and the supermarket in Jalon was a 10 minute drive away which suited our relaxed holiday theme. Definitely plan on staying again in the future. Thanks to Angie, Simon, Sandy and Elaine for helping us out when we needed, and for an unforgettable setting for our first holiday - Jordan A., Ediburgh. September 2011.
Fab villa, lovely views, our favourite in the Jalon Valley - Rachel M., Preston, Lancs. August 2011.
We had two fabulous weeks staying at Casa Del Monte. The views were amazing and the villa had everything we could wish for during our stay. To us it felt like home and we were very sad to leave. We walked down to Jalon town which was around 40 minutes but luckily for us we got a lift back! The valley was very lush and beautiful and could be looked at from various points of the villa in its ever changing light at different times of the day and night. The villa itself had all that was needed for an enjoyable stay from cds and dvds to outstanding artwork throughout the property. We must also comment on the most wonderful gigantic comfortable master bed. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property - Tanya F., Spalding, Lincs. July 2011.
We spent 1 week at Casa Del Monte in June 2011. Having had three family holidays in the Jalon Valley renting different villas I can say that it is the most impressive property that we have stayed in by a long way.Its location is ideal to enjoy a relaxing holiday but not to far away from a visit to the beach if required. Angie who dealt with our booking had everything covered and could not have done more to help us enjoy our stay. All of our holidays in the Jalon Valley will be booked through Angie at" Find The Real Spain" staying at Casa Del Monte. Thank you for a great time - Andrew B., Stockton on Tees. June 2011.
We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was really beautiful and the location had such wonderful views. We really enjoyed just lying by the pool and listening to the birds - Carole and Jim, East Kilbride, Glasgow. May 2011.
Third year in a row must tell you something. Thanks to Angie and her assistants at Find The Real Spain for making thing so easy and relaxing - Ewan S., Angus, Scotland. September 2010.
Beautiful villa with amazing views across the Jalon Valley. We experienced everything from fantastic sunsets to amazing electrical storms. However, overall the weather was great and this villa and it's great pool are a lovely place to enjoy it. A car is a must to be able to enjoy the area to its fullest. Having spent holidays in Florida we hoped that this villa would come up to the standard of the villas we have stayed in there and it certainly did, but would benefit from air conditioning. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this villa and return again in the future - Dave B., Cheshunt, Herts. August 2010.
An absolutely stunning villa in a beautiful, tranquil position. Great customer service from Angie & her colleagues as usual. We ate beautiful food & had fantastic walks all within easy reach. Only thing that I would change would be to have air conditioning in the bedrooms - Chris P., Cambridgeshire. July 2010.
Beautiful villa, clean and comfortable, nice area with extraordinary views from the villa's terrace. Find The Real Spain were excellent throughout the process - Luke S., Teignmouth, Devon. May 2010.
This is by far the best villa we have stayed in and we have been to the region for the last 5 years on villa holidays. We had the most wonderful stay at the villa which was perfect in every way, absolutely spotless everything you need and an absolute pleasure to stay in such a glorious villa with such tremendous views. We were shown to the villa by the lady representing Find The Real Spain and I must say everything was so perfectly organised that they are the only company we will be using from now on for our villa breaks. Well done Angie for forming such a professional top class villa rental agency. We would also like to recommend Bar 23 in Jalon who made us feel so welcome when we arrived at 16.30 hungry and they sorted out a lovely roast for us. Thank you all for a perfect honeymoon stay - Greg M., Barrow in Furness. June 2010.
Wonderful villa set in the Jalon Valley, perfectly positioned with wonderful views down towards Lliber and beyond. Booked via Find The Real Spain whose staff were friendly, helpful and reliable. The villa interior is spacious, with two bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. The bonus of a dressing room to the master bedroom was certainly beneficial, we managed to have the entire family's clothes stored in there. The lounge area is huge with wonderfully high ceiling, and galleried dining room was a bonus. Having experienced several days of torrential downpours (mid Sept 2009) we perhaps we able to appreciate the interior of the villa more than others! The bottle of wine and milk in the fridge are also a nice touch and appreciated on arrival. Outside the pool is stunning (put the pool lights on at night for effect), the loungers are excellent quality as is the outside furniture (4 x arm chairs with comfy cushions). The naya terrace area has stunning views of the valley. If you like breakfast outside with great views, then this is the villa for you. Also if you do wish to eat in occasionally, enjoy the sun setting in the valley and stay in the sun until early evening enjoying the table and chairs on the naya - you'll pay a premium for views like that from a restaurant. We have two small toddlers (2 & 1yr olds), and with common sense this villa is perfectly safe, and a highchair was provided. If you enjoy privacy, the villa is not really overlooked by others. The villas are nicely spaced apart and the plots large enough to guarantee you a feeling of space that you struggle to achieve nearer the coast (Moraira and surrounding area). Hard to find anything anything critical to write, the only downside is the lack of a BBQ, however as our agents pointed out, this is due to local fire regulations which must be respected. We will certainly consider a repeat booking in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - David H., Camberley, Surrey. September 2009.
Had another great holiday thanks. Once again, thanks for the wonderful accommodation - Alistair S., Nottingham. September 2009.
Firstly thanks for the villa. It was superb. Quiet and the weather was excellent, albeit June is a hot month, we found it great - David and A. High Peak, Derbyshire, June 2009.
We had a very good holiday indeed and the peace and quiet was wonderful - Brian H. Prenton, Merseyside, June 2009.
First of all we owe you and your team a debt of thanks for 'rescuing' us at Alicante airport - your commitment to your customers is beyond reproach! We were absolutely bowled over by the high standard of accommodation at Casa Del Monte - a world away from the commercial villas you usually find. The peaceful location and the stunning views from the villa across the lush green valley and beyond really gave an experience of 'the real Spain'. It was also a relief to find that the naya and the interior of the villa was cool and airy, even on the hottest days which meant that the kids adapted to the climate well. We would recommend both Casa Del Monte and your company without hesitation, and wish you and your team well for the future - Jon and Claire O., Emberton, Bucks. July 2009.
Hi Angie, Finally home after a very long drive but worth it, we had an absolutely brilliant time at Casa Del Monte. The villa was stunning, and am looking at dates to book again for next year as I'm sure the place will get booked up early after people stay there this summer. The pool was lovely and very clean, we spent everyday in there as you know it was very hot, but the villa itself was very well presented from the huge bed to the brand new kitchen and bathrooms. It really felt like a home from home, the owners are very lucky. The views were perfect and it was so peaceful we could really relax. The location was exactly what we were looking for, everything just a five min drive away. A big thanks to Linda as well, who was really helpful when we met her on the first day, she showed us everything including drove us to the Mas y Mas to show us where it all was and also the little touches like the beach towels, lots of water in the fridge already, tea/coffee. She obviously loves her job and went out of her way to settle us in. Will be in touch for another booking! Thanks again for a perfect holiday - Darron T. Exeter, Devon, July 2008.
